NOA Foundations  of  Outsourcing

In House Programme 

Currently this programme is run as an in-company programme for groups of typically 8-12.  Larger groups can be accommodated.

This programme covers four key outsourcing areas, with a one-day workshop for each:

  1. The NOA Life Cycle Model: strategic leadership; relationship engagment; transition and change; relationship management; sourcing options; risks and opportunities; exploring best practice
  2. Governance: what works best; loose / tight?; developing successful reporting; using governance tools.
  3. Performance Mangagment: developing successful metrics; balanced scorecards; SLAs and KPIs; managing offshore roviders
  4. Relationship Management and Innovation: value of trust; BS11000 principles; what do collaboration, innovation and CI mean?; developing the right behaviours

The workshops are deigned to allow the group to discuss the ideas and models raised, to share experiences and to identify opportunities to apply learning day-to-day. 

The programme is of value to a wide range of people from those who have full time involvement in outsourcing to those whose roles are impacted by outsourcing.

The programme content can be tailored to meet the needs of individual organisations.  The workshops are typically delivered on non-consecutive days the frequency of which can be agreed to fit requirements.


For those who want to work towards a professional university accredited qualification there is an option to submit evidence of work based learning for assessment. The level of qualification depends on total number of workshops attended and papers completed: 

NOA Foundation Certificate: Two workshops and one piece of work-based learning:

NOA Professional Certificate:  Four workshops and three pieces of work based learning:

Work Based Learning consists of an approx 2-4000 word paper relating study to the delegate's own workplace. 


Each workshop (for a group of up to 10) costs £1850 for NOA Members and £2,050 for non NOA members.  Extra delegates will be charged at £190 per head. For assessment and certification, there is a £250 charge per person for each level of the Certificate programme.

All fees exclude VAT.
